Wedding Shoot at Kumkapi Armenian Patriarchal Church

It was our privilege to witness the traditional Armenian Church Wedding Ceremony of my dear Daniela and Tami, cousins of a friend of mine, at the Patriarchal Church in Kumkapı. With so many guests gathered, the true meaning and significance of the event was revealed...

Kumkapi Surp Asdvadzadzin Armenian Patriarchate Church Wedding Photos

With its 7 stages, Armenian Apostolic Church weddings are rich in tradition and symbolism. Therefore, the beauty and harmony of the ceremony impresses me photographically every time. From the couple holding hands for the first time during the church service, to the moment they say "ayo" (yes), to the moment they say their vows, to the blessing with gold crowns, to the sharing of a glass of wine, every detail is a poetic story.

The Church Wedding Ceremony was presided over by the late Archpriest, Msgr. Tatul Anoushyan Vartabet, with the participation of the Senior Priests Der Antreas Hagopyan, Der Shirvan Kahana Mürzoyan, Der Zohrab Civanyan and Der Zakar Koparyan.

With the surprise visit of His Beatitude Patriarch Sahak Mashalyan II, he personally presented the Holy Bible, which has become a tradition, emphasizing the value and importance of the institution of marriage.

Dear Tamar Organizasyon was responsible for the decoration and organization of this magnificent church wedding.

As a result, it was a pleasure for us to be a part of the wedding days of our dear couple Daniela & Tami, whose unique day we documented with photo & video shootings in partnership with Novva Film Weddings and Arman Marazyan Photography. We wish them a life full of love and eternal happiness.
